TECSOLARIS the climate roof - hybrid solar roof of the next generation

TecSolaris is an innovative solar system that intelligently combines photovoltaics and solar thermal energy . The integrated solar modules generate solar power and thermal energy simultaneously, enabling particularly efficient use of solar energy. Targeted air cooling of the solar modules ensures consistently high performance even at high outside temperatures.

The 3-layer structure of TecSolaris

1. Solar modules

 

The specifically developed modules form a waterproof and weatherproof roof covering. They are arranged in a scale pattern, are fully walkable, and, thanks to their installation method, offer maximum durability while maintaining aesthetic integration.

 

2. Air chamber

 

A controlled air chamber is located between the insulation layer and the solar panels. During the day, this chamber is used to cool the photovoltaic modules , thus preventing heat-related power losses. The heated air can then be used for heat generation, for example via a heat pump. At night, the stagnant air serves as additional thermal insulation.

 

3. Structure and insulation

 

The substructure is based on the roof rafters and meets the GEG 2030 requirements. It consists of:

 

  • a stable cross batten

  • a breathable but waterproof wood fiber insulation board

  • optional cross-batten heat barrier for additional thermal insulation
